Curriculum

At sparkling Minds we follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) statutory framework to ensure that all of our children have access to the best development and learning.

Each day, all our children have access to a range of stimulating and exciting age-appropriate activities, of which all have clear intentions to further progress their learning or develop new learning opportunities.
We value allocating each child to a key worker, in order to best help the process of their development. This further allows parents to form familiarity and a special relationship with staff members working with their children.

We have what we refer to as a 'colourful pedagogy'. Which in simple terms refers to the fact that instead of solely following one approach to learning, we value a range of very insightful, valuable and effective approaches to learning, and take impactful aspects of each that we believe will most benefit the children in our care.

We prioritise building upon the prime areas as these lay down the foundation for all children’s learning, ensuring that children are able to relate to others, communicate effectively and engage with their environment. Further using each and every one of their unique interests, backgrounds and experiences to ensure that we build upon a curriculum and learning opportunities to best help them broadly develop appropriately as individuals.

We provide a range of opportunities to also ensure that children at our Nursery are exposed to a range of other fundamental concepts, such as British Values and also provide a range of opportunities for them to enhance their imaginations and build independence.

At Sparkling Minds, we love learning through the natural environment, in which includes taking local outings , walks and topic-based trips which allows our children to feel further enthused and engaged with their learning, well-being and all round development.
