Each room/stage at our Nursery aims to serve the children purposefully in an age appropriate manner.
All of our rooms have consistent daily routines in place to provide a sense of security, stability and gain an understanding of our everyday expectations and events.
All of our children have access to a range of new and exciting resources each day as well as a cosy outdoor space.

Little Sparks
0-2 years
​
Our Little Sparks room caters for children from birth up to 2 years old.
As we are honoured to welcome children during the earliest stages of their lives, we ensure that we plan and support them in the best possible ways. This consists of building secure relationships with staff members and allowing them to explore curiously.
​
In order to achieve this we ensure that all of our little sparks children have access to a range of sensory and stimulating resources and activities to encourage their curiosity and understanding of the world, as well as enhance and begin to establish their methods of communicating.
An example of one of our daily activities which encourages this is our daily intensive ‘tummy time’ sessions.
Magic Sparks
2 – 3 years

As they progress we continue to support the needs of all of our children in Magic Sparks. Allowing them to still develop curiosity and also focusing on independence.
We ensure that this is achieved by providing a range of exciting play opportunities; both indoors and outdoors, as well as circle time and small group sessions, and 1:1 adult led activities which help to build upon all of our children’s pre-existing knowledge.
We have set routines put in place in order to help with this and provide daily consistency.
Shooting sparks
3+ (Pre-school)

Our shooting sparks refers to the children in our Nursery which are being prepared and equipped for a smooth transition into School (Reception). Ensuring that children have a smooth transition and working with their potential future schools, when this time is appropriate is something we truly value and enjoy at Sparkling Minds.
​
In preparing our children to do so, some of which we focus on includes the development of their fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, social development. As well as this, we prepare children mathematically and from a phonic perspective so that they are willingly prepared for what Reception has to offer. Our uniform policy for our Shooting Sparks, is also in line to prepare our children for school life.

We aim to allow all children to gain a strong sense of resilience, leaving our Nursery to be confident learners and developing a real sense of understanding that they are special, unique and one of our future’s brightest stars in whatever path they take.
